Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can control them on Records Referee.

Last updated: January 1, 2025 SOC2 Compliant Florida, United States

Quick summary: We use a small number of cookies — strictly necessary for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.

Cookies are not harmful — they cannot install software or carry viruses. They simply store information that helps the website remember you between visits or between pages.

2. Cookies We Use

Records Referee uses only the cookies necessary to operate the platform securely. We classify them as follows:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies — Required for the platform to function. These include authentication cookies (rr_customer, rr_admin) that keep you signed in, and CSRF protection cookies (rr_csrf) that prevent malicious cross-site requests.
  • Functional Cookies — Remember your preferences such as sidebar collapsed state. Without these, the platform still works but loses small UX improvements.
  • Analytics Cookies — We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add them in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent.
  • Advertising Cookies — We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell data to advertisers.

3. Third-Party Cookies

We do not currently set third-party cookies. Some embedded content (e.g., support chat widgets, payment processors during checkout) may set their own cookies governed by their own privacy policies. We list these providers in our Privacy Policy.

4. Managing & Disabling Cookies

You can control or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete existing ones, or be notified before a new one is set.

Please note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using core features of Records Referee.
